My long awaited "Judge" video. Long story short, the Taurus Judge meets none of my criteria for a self-defense firearm aside from "have a gun". Your mileage may vary. IF, for some reason, you've decided to carry a Taurus Judge loaded with a .410 shell for self-defense the only multi-projectile load we've tested that even approaches acceptable performance is the Federal 000 buck. At the end of the day the Judge is nothing more than a range toy, and should not be considered a serious self-defense
