Happy Birthday to Sammy Shore. In 1972, Sammy opened the Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard. At the time, it was just a room — but it became the place where generations of comedians found a stage, a community, and a home. Sammy was the first owner of the Comedy Store, and without him, none of this exists. Every era of this club traces back to that original decision to open the doors and let comics take the room.
