A new winter storm is moving east on Monday, bringing dangerous wind, snow and ice to millions. Wind gusts up to 45 mph are possible in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.
Snowfall totals across the primary snowbelt will range from 3 to 6″+ through Tuesday. Outside the snowbelt, snowfall totals will range from a coating to a couple of inches.

A clipper system will pass through the region on Wednesday leading to light snow showers and falling temperatures which will setup a very cold end to the year.Light snow will be likely until the middle or late afternoon for much of Southeast Minnesota and Northeast Iowa.
The NWS is predicting up to 12 inches of snow across five states: Michigan, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, and Alaska.
While temperatures do get above freezing Christmas eve and Christmas Day, hopefully we don’t see too much melting from Tuesday’s snow to leave ourselves with a white Christmas. Likely a white Christmas in the hills, and hopefully still some snow is left on the ground for us in the valley. Looking pretty good.
